Postdoc Immunology CBMIT

on 16 October 2020

The Laboratory of chemistry, biology, modelling and immunology for therapy (CBMIT), at Paris Descartes University, offers a Postdoctoral position in Immunology.

The CBMIT studies immunity in the context of infection and auto inflammatory /autoimmune diseases with a pluri-disciplinary approach that combines chemistry and biology.

We recently identified a new pathway to regulate inflammation and interferons by targeting the chemokine receptor CXCR4 (Smith et al, Nature Communications 2017, Smith et al, Science Advances 2019). This outstanding discovery opens new exciting scientific and therapeutic perspectives. The project of the candidate will aim to understand the cellular and molecular mechanisms that link CXCR4 to the control of inflammation in the context of auto inflammatory /autoimmune diseases.

Your profile:

We seek for a highly motivated scientist (PhD.), flexible and proactive. Experience in GPCR cellular signalling are mandatory. Skills in cell culture and flow cytometry are considered as a plus, but excellent applicants willing to learn these techniques in our lab will be also considered.

The position:

We offer a challenging research project in a stimulating interdisciplinary and translational environment at the interface between an academic lab, clinical department and a start-up. The position is initially granted for 2 year with possibility of extension for a third year. The salary will be based on the French public-sector salary scheme. The position will be open from September 2020.

Your application: Please send a motivation letter, detailed CV and names of three referent scientists to Dr JP Herbeuval:
