Cécile DERIEUX

Cécile DERIEUX

is a French postdoc who joined the Medical Faculty of the University of Leipzig, Germany in 2022 to work with Andreas Bock on understanding the signalling and modulation of GPCRs, with a particular interest in spatiotemporal aspects of cAMP compartmentation.

First trained both as a chemist and a biologist, she wanted to understand GPCR signalling and related pharmacology from the simplest to the most complex levels, e.g. from molecular to animal. In this aim, she performed her PhD under the supervision of Julie Le Merrer, in the Imaging and Brain Unit, University of Tours, France and studied bromide ion treatment potential effects on autism, both on mouse models and on GPCRs signalling. To achieve this latter goal, she spent the last year of her PhD in the Neuroreceptors, Dynamics and Functions team, Institute of Functional Genomics, France, under the supervision of Jean-Philippe Pin.
